Massage Therapy for Healing:
Injury can be traumatic and sudden, as in whiplash, a muscle tear or surgery. Injury can also be subtle and occur over time, as in wear-and-tear, repetitive stress and poor structural alignment. Massage Therapy, in the form of Myofascial & Craniosacral Therapies, is a gentle and enabling intervention that releases scar tissue, aids the body in self-repair and instructs the body in finding ease of movement and alignment.• Learn more about Myofascial and Craniosacral Therapy here
Massage Therapy for Self-Care:
Your healthy body is a miracle of dynamic balance, otherwise called homeostasis. Unfortunately, we don't always feel in balance - stress and overwork predominate while rest and relaxation are depreciated. Over time, stress takes its toll on your structure, your bodily systems and your ability to heal and repair. Many common afflictions, though often blamed on aging or genetics, are also a factor of environment and occur after a long time of neglect. Massage Therapy is a responsible, easy and direct investment in controlling your environment and promoting long-term health.• Learn more about effects of massage therapy on your body.
Massage Therapy for Reconnecting with your Body-Self:
Perhaps no other form of therapy is as individual and unique as bodywork and massage therapy. Computers and internet are devices of connectivity, and yet the more we use them, the less connected we become to ourselves. Massage Therapy as informed touch reconnects us to our 'body-selves'. Informed touch fosters neurological growth and we re-discover the bodies we've learned to take for granted.• Learn more about development and proprioception.
